"BORA DAYS" THE ANNIVERSARY OF GRAMMAR SCHOOL IN NIŠ

 Gymnasium "Bora Stankovic" in Nis celebrates 45 years of operation, and its students have prepared a series of events, which are held until April 4. The ceremony, which took place in the Nis Puppet Theatre, was attended by the President of municipality of Palilula Boban Džunić, a former student of this high school. "Today we celebrate the knowledge, wisdom and imagination", these words open the Ceremony on the occasion of 45th birthday of Nis Grammar school "Bora Stankovic" in a welcome speech by Ljiljana Stojanović, Director of the Grammar school, who highlighted the most important results of this prestigious educational institution.

SCOUT GREETINGS TO SPRING

 For the fourteenth time there was a traditional action of Nis scouts. Spending time in nature, and promote scouting skills. The Memorial Park "Bubanj" held a traditional action of scouts "violet, your face is pretty". Participants and organizers of this activity, organized by the Scouts "Kralj Petar", welcomed Boban Džunić, president of municipality of Palilula. He emphasized the importance of the role of scout organizations working with children and young people and stressed the need to support scouting activities because it is an organization that has a long tradition of successful results.

"ARROGANCE KNOWS NO BOUNDS"

 The memorial park "Bubanj" last weekend was the target of vandals again. Unscrupulous visitors to this sports complex in Palilula, destroyed one barn and burned timber, "decorated” memorial with graffiti, damaging part of the bench in amphitheater. All this took place one day before the start of the traditional action of Scouts "Kralj Petar" in Nis. President of Municipality Boban Džunić, who opened the action of the Scouts was unpleasantly surprised with the condition. He condemned the act of irresponsible behavior of individuals with co-workers, the management of the youth office of the municipality and the Scout Association of the City of Nis, toured part of the complex memorial park "Bubanj" which was reconstructed thanks for the project "CourTour " from the Neighbourhood Programme Serbia - Bulgaria and from financial support of the European Union.

SCHOOL "BUBANJ" MARKED ITS ANNIVERSARY

 School with boarding "Bubanj" Nis, who works in the territory of Palilula celebrates six decades of successful operation. On this occasion, in the Hall of the Puppet Theatre school held a ceremony and theatrical performances in the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Education, the number of visitors from the country and the region. DEBATE ON PRIVATIZATION IN SPORT

 The privatization of sports clubs in Serbia is necessary, because it is unacceptable that taxpayers cover their huge losses, said Minister of Youth and Sports Vanja Udovičić at the debate "Privatization in Sport" which was held in the City Hall of Nis. The panel included representatives of numerous clubs and organizations. This meeting was attended by the President of municipality of Palilula Boban Džunić with his associates. Palilula is currently one of the most active municipalities in the region through a number of projects and activities contributed significantly to the promotion of sports and recreation in their territory.

 On the eve of World Water Day - Water and energy; "Preparation for the implementation of vital rivers and environmentally friendly renewable energy". On the eve of World Water Day, Nis Faculty of Safety in the City Municipality of Palilula is successfully ending the activity of the one-year cross-border project "Preparation of the river for the implementation of viable and environmentally friendly renewable energy" implemented with Bulgarian partners. Last week the information is published that the EU Commissioner approved the initiative of European citizens the right to water (Right2Water) and compiled a list of obligations in accordance with this requirement.

 Thanks to a two-year program of bilateral cooperation between primary school '' Kralj Petar I'' Nis, and College “Marceline Berthelot” in the Bagel near Bordeaux in France, students from Bagel, representatives of the educational institutions in France, visited Nis from16 to 23 March, with the support of the City Municipality of Palilula. Within Francophone days in Serbia, students from two schools will perform theater play "The Little Prince" to charity. For the participants of this event, Boban Dzunic, president of Municipality, organized reception in Nis Cultural Center.

 In the framework of international cooperation and Francophone days in Serbia, pupils of ''Kralj Petar I'' in Nis, and “College Marceline Berthelot” in the Bagel near Bordeaux in France, under the patronage of Municipality of Palilula, displayed the part at the National Theatre Nis " Little Prince " by Antoine Saint- Exupery. All proceeds from ticket sales is for the charity fund "Let's help our children" which was found about a year ago in Palilula Municipality of Nis. The protagonists of this unique theater group of young people from the Bagel (Bordeaux) and Nis were welcomed by many of the audience, which carefully monitored play "The Little Prince" in French and Serbian language.

 Under the patronage of the City Municipality of Palilula, RTV Belleamie and Media EKOpolis ecological network,we have made a film implemented as a documentary on the activities of the partner municipalities Ihtiman and Palilula, Project Living green "Living Green" in the IPA, CBC Bulgaria-Serbia 2013/2014.Documentary film promoted the interests of the citizens of two cities in the field of ecology, environment and sustainable development. According to the mayor and project managers this project contributed to building the capacity of municipal governments to protect the environment and conserve natural resources in the border region.

FIELD ROADS IN COKOT

 In support of achieving the activities of farmers in municipality of Palilula, president of municipality Boban Dzunic, and the Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Sasa Stojiljkovic, visited the village Čokot.In this settlement, some of the final activities are the construction of the planned sections of field roads in length of 900m and to move three elm (450m) in the direction of the South Morava River (450m).Thanks to the support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the City of Nis, 6.34 km of field roads were done in settlements in Palilula.

"BRANKOVO PERO" TO YOUNG POETS

 Primary school "Branko Miljkovic" in Palilula, held a ceremony in the presence of a large number of guests, which celebrated the Day of the school. The program began with a performance by the school choir and orchestra, which are the results of the state assembly in the top of the region. The entire program was dedicated to the great poet, and many students in different spots showed their talent.Participants of the event were greeted by Boban Džunić, president of municipality of Palilula, who attended this school and was one of the best students in generations.

 Municipality of Palilula is one of the most populated one of the largest urban municipalities in Niš, but the standard of life of its residents in the report of the Statistical Office of Serbia, is at the very bottom among the other municipalities in Serbia. In the current circumstances, the devastated economic environment, limited powers and limited budget, the management of the organization of local self-government of the city of Nis, successfully achieved international projects and solved key problems of the citizens. WORKS ON RECONSTRUCTION OF "MARINA DRŽIĆA" STREET HAS BEGUN

 Works on the reconstruction of the "Marina Držića" street in Palilula had finally started. This road is 894 meters long, and before placing the new asphalt, we will first rebuild the water system-said Boban Džunić, president of municipality of Palilula." Marina Držića " street is one of the busiest streets in Palilula, which passes by the largest nurseries in Nis and the primary school" Branko Miljkovic, "which will also be reconstructed by the middle of this year. SIX KILOMETERS OF COUNTRY ROADS IN MUNICIPALITY OF PALILULA

 In the village of Krušce, Municipality of Palilula is ending construction works of country roads, thanks to the support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management and the City Administration for agriculture and rural development. This year, it will be arranged over 6 km of roads in the municipality, with value of 4.5 million, which will provide farmers easier coming to the infield.Palilula has over 7 acres of agricultural land, of which about six and a half acres are arable and the rest is pasture.

VOJISLAV ILIC STREET AT DONJE MEDJUROVO HAS PRIORITY

 Residents of the village of Donje Međurovo in the city Municipality of Palilula, which is about five kilometers from the city of Ni , will soon get a reconstructed street of " Vojislav Ilic". " While we have more than a decade in the 21st century, this road is unpaved for years and almost impassable, and this situation significantly affects the quality of life for the inhabitants of the villag . Sewer and water were given to the village, but the asphalt, according to them, does not make it.
